1,000 IT Professionals to Be Hired in Next 12 Months
|
|
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - February 8, 2010 - ®, a new-generation pioneer in IT and BPO
services, was honored to have Her Excellency , President
of the Republic of Philippines, inaugurate its new Manila offshore development center
on February 2, 2010. The new center at McKinley Hills, Manila, is a state-of-the-art
facility built to cater to its Global 1000 clients in North America and Europe.
UST Global first came to Manila after recognizing the Philippines as an emerging
destination for IT outsourcing and identifying the potential rate of development
in the region. Ever since the company first set up its Manila center, the center
has been in expansion mode in preparation for opening this larger, best-in-class
work environment.
In accordance with the California-based organization’s aggressive expansion plans
across Asia, there are plans for a considerable increase in the resource strength
of the Manila center. In the first phase of expansion, UST Global seeks to hire
around 1,000 IT professionals at the new center over the next 12 months and envisions
the workforce growing to more than 5,000 IT professionals over the next few years.
Since UST Global provides for the Global 1000 market, associate at the center will
be working very closely with some of the most powerful enterprises in the world.
UST Global’s CEO stated that, “In the past 10 years, UST Global has
been working with some of the biggest names in the world. Through our new center
in Manila, we have access to some of Asia’s most talented knowledge professionals
for building on our Global Engagement Model. We are also expanding in other parts
of the world, such as Latin America, with the same objective of tapping into these
overlooked talent pools.”
IT professionals can expect a world-class work environment at the new facility,
as UST Global believes in not only delivering smart solutions but also in building
strong relationships with its associates, giving them the opportunity to develop
their competencies and skills.
Joe Nalkara, President of UST Global, predicts that the Philippines center will
be a strategically significant geographical and business location for the growing
Asian presence of UST Global. “We zeroed in on the Philippines because of the highly
skilled and refined work culture we’ve observed here. This is a perfect match with
the style of functioning we follow elsewhere in our centers,” he affirmed.
Around the world, UST Global has been re-writing the rules of outsourcing with its
strong, client-based model. This has helped the company transform businesses, localities,
and communities. UST Global’s mission of “Transforming Lives” is being carried forward
with this new Philippines center.
