Independent research report cites UST Global

“Maximizing Innovation from ERP Service Providers; Insights from NASCOM 2010” Shows Need for Greater Innovation, Profiles Current Examples

Aliso Viejo, Calif. - April 12, 2010 - In a report issued today showing that 38 percent of 942 North American and European enterprise decision-makers are dissatisfied with the level of innovation service providers, UST Global® was named in examples of innovative practices.

The Forrester Research, Inc. report Maximizing Innovation from ERP Service Providers; Insights from NASCOM 2010 noted “that there is still much room for innovation – service innovation to drive down costs and improve efficiency as well as innovation to drive business outcomes.”

The 942 North American and European enterprise decision-makers surveyed by Forrester were responsible for the purchase of third party IT services and involved in setting budgets for IT. Forrester interviewed six service providers: IBM, Infosys, ITC Infotech, Tata Consultancy, UST Global and Wipro.

Forrester’s report cited labs that “allocate time to multiple types of tasks like development (coding) or brainstorming new ideas in an innovation lab like UST Global’s Apple Tree.” The report noted: “Companies like UST Global allow their employees to spend part of their time in a research lab, developing use cases for new technologies – like QR bar codes and their potential application for retail. One such application is their use as tiny pictures on items for sale that allow shoppers to scan items at the grocery store and then check out more quickly.”
