Prior to joining UST Global, Yuval served as Vice President for business development at IDB Group, one of Israel’s largest conglomerates, where he worked on M&A transactions involving the holding company’s assets. He joined IDB after a decade-long career in the Israeli public sector, where his last position was Director General of Intelligence Ministry. In this capacity he worked closely with various cyber divisions and intelligence agencies on special security and diplomatic projects. Yuval did his military service as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces’ 8200 unit (the Israeli NSA), where he had command over a large intelligence department.
As a government official, Yuval worked in the Israeli Finance Ministry where he rose to become the senior economic adviser to the Finance Minister and Chief of Staff. In these positions Yuval was deeply involved in crafting and implementing major reforms in the Israeli technology and energy sectors and capital markets. Yuval is also a lawyer and prior to joining the Treasury he clerked in the Israeli Supreme court, where he drafted decisions in both constitutional and corporate law.
Yuval holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Economics from the Hebrew University, where he also did his law degree (LL.B.). He is an adjunct professor in the Tel Aviv University Business School, and a visiting fellow in the Brookings Institution and The Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
